My Life - A Little About Me
Swing

Hi! I am Renee Spencer. I was born and raised in the small town of Cayuga, Indiana. I graduated from North Vermillion High School in May 2011. I want to tell you a little about how I got here.

I have always enjoyed singing since I was a little girl. My parents are greatly inclined with music. I believe the trait got passed down to me. I have been singing in my church since I was a tot even though I hid behind my mom most of the time. I had my first lead role as Annie in the musical Annie as a 7th grader. I had many opportunities to be involved with the theater arts department at my school. My senior year ended as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. All of these experiences have helped me with my confidence and stage presence. I have also been a part of choir, show choir, and solo/ensemble competition.

The summer of 2009, I went to Chicago to audition for American Idol for the first time. Unfortunately, I didn't make it. But when I got back home, I met a man by the name of Tommy Brandt, a singer/songwriter/producer, the very next day! I recorded my CD that fall and my journey has been amazing since then. God continues to shape and mold me and gives me the privilege to use the talents Hešs given me by singing in churches, revivals, retreats, and community events.

In October 2010, I received the title of 'Youth in Music' at the ICM (Inspirational Country Music) Awards that took place in Nashville, Tennessee, and in June 2011, I received the ĒNew Young Horizonē award at the King Country Agape Fest in Granbury, Texas. I am honored to have received these awards and hope God will allow me to further my career and also further His kingdom.

I hope you will enjoy my music and feel free to checkout my website. God Bless!
